With all these "Holy Crimes" there is a difference between the wrong acts of individuals and the wrong acts of a Church. This is where the Roman Catholic Church crossed the line in hiding the molestation of hundreds of children by Roman Catholic priests because they thought the dignity of the priesthood was more important than saving children from rape.

I wouldn't say that there is a difference between the wrong acts of individuals and the further wrongdoing of their associates in their attempt to cover up those "wrong acts". Wrong is wrong, and should not be overlooked or covered up just because someone is from the same political party or religious organization.

Dreamer20: I'm in awe of the Examples of Republican hypocrisy on moral values link. I remember so many of those sad moments that we're supposed to "conveniently" forget. Fortunately for the GOP, they've done their best to underfund public education so that so few 'Mericuhns actually read as a recreational activity and will most likely not believe any of those illegal, immoral and/or outright hypocritical things ever happened on the Republican's watch.

Interesting that you should mention that. I gather the head lines using an Internet machine search tool and I've got about 100+ links in the last two weeks to alleged crimes of child molestation by padres (and others) in the catholic church. I revisit them to see what the status is and check if indictments have formally been made and are on their way to court. I figure if they haven't been convicted in court -- unless it's an obvious lawsuit by a group of men or women against the local diocese or pope -- then I should probably wait until they're convicted.

I use the same software to ferret out anti-gay hate speech. The stuff that comes back in those searches is so frightening that it hurts to read through it all.

HE'S DOWN! HE HAS LEFT THE CAPITOL BUILDING

The former Ewetaw Republican Legislator and fine upstanding community leader and sanctimonious member of his local "ward", Kevin Garn, finally stepped down from his position as a member of Utah's House of Representatives. Seems it's not just the one former 15 year-old employee of his CD/Video store he soaked in with in the family hot tub, but he has a bad need to have "relations" with other young women under the age of consent.

I have heard rumors (and rumors about rumors) that this tool is being let go by FOX or that he's lost all of his advertisers? Not sure. We do't get FAUX NOT NEW with our satellite feed. It's not even offered. We get news from Austrailia, though -- and news in Dutch.
So, if anyone is need of a screen poster, I came across this little .jpg. I found it sort of political, sort of religious, and somewhat related to those who commit holy crimes in the name of their god(s).

I don't get it. To me it is alarming how most of these "religious leaders" are interested in molesting children. Was it something in those Bible Stories that tricked something in their corpus amygdaloideum/lizard brain?

I'm not sure what will happen in US courts, but I'm fairly certain someone with the balls will file suit in Europe. It'd be interesting to see the Vatican charged with crimes in an international and respected court in Europe. I'm thinking something under the Convention on the Right of the Child, since what the Church has done is cover up a worldwide epidemic of child abuse by their priests.
