its funny on Halloween night in NYC a few weeks ago, I said sorry to a guy for cutting him off as it was so crowded and some roads were closed. He said you are good love. I am always surprised when men (strangers) say love or dear to me. He was young guy, not old. Does it happen to you guys ?

Interesting. I've had older men say "love" or "dear" or "hun" but these guys are usually either gay or a straight guy that's somewhat feminine (feminish if you will). Younger guys usually just say nothing (maybe a nod) or monosyllabic (mmh, so'k).

OK...so what you should do depends on what you WANT to do. If you want to do something (you must or you wouldn't have posted) then tell him that you are willing to see, but you gotta promise each other to stop if it gets too weird. Is your fear actually that you might like it more than you dare? It needn't get weird, if you both decided to try water skiing and din't like it, it wouldn't be weird. You are just experimenting within the bonds of friendship. One thing's certain he ain't messing with you, he trusts you.
So the thing is in my experience it doesn’t get weird until after.
I’ve always struggled with that. The signs are all there you make the move it’s fun in the moment and then 3 days later it’s weird.

sometimes they never want to talk about it, sometimes it ruins things and they are never the same again.

but then again sometimes it’s the best thing ever

Brits sometime say this. (I watch three soaps on Britbox.com.) They're not "feminish" in these cases.

In the UK some men and women say "love".

"Take care, love." "Sorry, love." Expressions like that. Just people being friendly.

(I don't call people "love". I'm more formal when I speak.)

Interesting. This happened in in NYC, and culture wise its not common here, so it was surprising to hear.

Good to know though about Britain.
