You left out a significant group: guys who suck cock and get ass-fucked on the DL, but truly think they're straight. Face it: if someone habitually seeks out sexual relations with men because he finds men sexually attractive, he's not straight. Bi or gay, but not straight.

That is a group, quite a big one probably. I did leave it out, but just cos I didn't think of it. However, I'm not certain if they're necessarily bisexual, more just sexual. They're not necessarily attracted to other guys, more that they don't turn out any chance of sexual activity. I can't say, cos I've never been in that group.

blood poisoning...is that caused from anal sex?

Not that I'm aware of. I know there is a certain mystery with a lot of straight guys about anal sex. One of my mates was shocked to hear that my bf and I, being in a committed, long term, monogamous relationship had decided to stop having protected sex, because he thought that gay guys had "genetic diseases" they could pass onto each other, just by being gay. LOL, it's just sex, it won't cure world hunger, bring about the end of human kind, or bring about the cure for the common cold.

IMHO, I think that Freddie's theory may be the closest to the truth. It may well be that only 10% on either side are truely straight or gay, and everyone else is somewhere on the spectrum, with choice playing the major role in how they live their lives.

No, the map says there are almost 70,000 same-sex couples living together (which is not the same thing as the number of homosexuals) in Canada. Proportionally Quebec and BC have more same-sex couples than other provinces. Didn't surprise me; the Blocheads are almost all in favor of same-sex marriage, and Vancouver's the Canadian San Francisco.

Most of the flyover states aren't surprising. Indians aren't as homophobic as whites, and most of us have more important questions about a person than what he or she does in bed, so there are more same-sex couples living together where there are a lot of Indians.

If it helps, Kinsey found that a third of the people who self-identified as a 0 had had some sort of same-sex encounter, and a third of people who self-identified as a 6 had had some sort of opposite-sex encounter. Proving, as most of Kinsey's work did, that what we say about sex and what we actually do are two different things.

Statistically, any natural distribution of sexuality will likely be a modal distribution. If there's a biological cause, it'll naturally be skewed toward heterosexuality. If not, culture will still skew it toward heterosexuality for obvious reasons.

Anal sex doesn't cause blood poisoning, to my knowledge. However, several STDs can cause blood poisoning, and rimming can lead to blood poisoning.

A question: I've seen "DL" a number of times, but have never ben able to work out what it means. Is it " double life" ? or something else. Can somebody explain it to me.

DL was first coined by R.Kelly on a song back around 1994 called "Down Low." It was a song about an affair with a married woman. The chorus said "keep it on the Down Low, Down Low." It basically means to keep something a secret--like Creep--to sneak around.

Now--It has become synonymous with men who say they are straight but secretly engage in sex with other men. Hence, DL Brothas.

A rupture in the anal canal CAN cause blood poisoning due to feces interring the blood stream&#33; I know this for a fact, because there was a patient were I work (female) who somehow ( :evilgrin: ) ruptured it and ended being admitted for blood poisoning. It was&#39;nt a huge rupture either (causing hemorrhaging) but rather small, and the patient felt no pain. Its rare though, but can and has happened&#33;

Yeah, I personally don&#39;t have a problem if a guy&#39;s bi, as long as he&#39;s honest with her about it, and he doesn&#39;t go around being homophobic like a lot of these "DL brothas" do.

Well I think by personal experience living in the "straight" world, there is definately more than just 10% of the population.

Plus, homosexuality comes in different degrees from my expereince.

You have the 100% i like men category and that is it.

Then you have the bi- crowd, the curious crowd, and then the reformed crowd.

If you take all these factors in I say their are at least 60% to 70% of men that have engaged in homosecual behavoir, and probably about 15% that make it a practice or just are.

Although their have been stides to have it become tolerated.....their is still much prejudice and loathing out there. Plus the lifestyle/behavoirs that most of us engage in are not healthy. }(
