It's really hard (no pun intended) to measure yourself without bias. Honestly, I think I am 8.5".

It's so tempting to stretch for that 9" mark though. Sometimes I even tell myself I'm really 9", I just need to measre when I'm super rock hard.

I don't currently have a measurement pic posted, but I've got a vid that I'll post soon where I use the ruler. I measure a generous 9" in that clip, but I pushed the ruler hard on the pubic bone too.

A good test is how many US quarters you can line up on top of your dick. They are 1" each. If you can't balance a number of quarters in a straight line from base to head, then you are not that number of inches. The Coors light bottles I've been drinking lately are also exactly 9". I've got some beer bottle comparison picks I've been holding out on soon to come too.

Anyway, that just came about as I was just considering the measurement bias issue. I thought, well, my dick is clearly just a hair short of this beer bottle. It's not as easy to cheat a side to side comparison when you line a bottle up to the base of your cock. So, just exactly how big is the bottle and my cock? (A guy is as big is as a Gillette can. Well, how big is a Gillette can?)

Actually I have a health condition that allows my "size" to vary grandly based on my hydration levels. So, as a base, I claim 7.5 x 5.5 but, when hydrated, it can extend up to an inch and a half longer and upto .75 wider.

I still like the lower end estimate though.

A year or two ago I surfed to a site (no longer have the URL) that was for band groupies. Probably not. So the explanation for the cluelessness of the groupies about size is, as someone said earlier in this thread, attributable to blowback from all the male boasting out there (and not just by pornstars).

Unfortunately this creates a vicious circle: guys exaggerate, women buy into it, the perception of "average" goes all out of proportion, to the point where even guys who are above average hesitate to tell the truth. It's sad when a 7" guy feels like he needs to pad his measurement to compete. Nonsense, a 7" cock is damn big; only like 1 in 20 males have that much. It isn't just smaller men who have this problem, us bigger guys have to contend with it too.

So what's a guy to do? Tell the truth and have it be assumed that your 7" is really 5", or your 8" is really only 6", or whatever? Or, since you can't beat 'em join 'em, and claim to have 9-11" in the first place? I must admit my inclination has always been for the former. I've been guessed by women as having 10 or 11, and my reaction has been to roll my eyes and laugh and say "in your dreams, baby." What they meant is that I was at the upper end of the men in their experience, which is statistically likely. I'm bigger than the guys who said they had 8, so I must be 10, right? Uh-huh, sure.

At the same time I have no illusions that any amount of honesty on the part of those of us who can best afford it is going to change anything. If every above average hung guy on the planet started telling the truth about his endowment tomorrow, that would still leave the majority to skew the average. There just aren't enough of us out there. :biggrin1:
