I live in an apartment building that overlooks the American Embassy in Tokyo. As I sit here, 7 pm on Friday Tokyo time, the neighbourhood is ringing with military marches as GEORGE W. BUSH walks to the Hotel Okura across the road to have teppanyaki! (I wonder if they'll give him one of those little bibs?)
The street is filthy with police! I can't park in front of my building! The band has changed from Columbia the Gem of the Ocean to Anchors Aweigh!. This is nearly as good as running into Madonna in Notting Hill! (not that I've done that, of course. She's a REAL celebrity)
