I used to be grossed out by feet. I just thought they were the most unattractive part of the human body. But because the sight of a bare foot bothered me, it also drew my attention. Somehow, over time, my disgust turned to fascination.
When I went to college, I was amazed by how many guys walked around campus barefoot, and even went to class without shoes--something that would have been completely unacceptable in high school. I just seemed so liberating. Around the same time I was in college, sandals became popular again, although mostly Birkenstocks and Tevas, not the flip-flops that have been popular the past couple of years.
Now for me it's a treat to get a glimpse of a guy's foot, and I like seeing guys wearing sandals. Sandals with pants are an especially nice combination, because you don't get to see the whole leg, just teasing glimpses of the bare flesh of the foot and ankle. Last summer there was even an article in the local paper on the bare male ankle as a sexy new fashion statement.
Whenever I see a guy barefoot or wearing sandals, I always check out his feet. Most feet are just feet; they're sort of plain-looking. But every know and then I spot a guy with really attractive feet. I can't really explain what it is that makes some feet more attractive than others. For me it's not about the size, and unlike the OP, I don't like long toes. But when I see it, I have to be careful not to stare. Living in a college town, there are a lot of hot college guys around here, who often wear sandals in the summer, so there are plenty of feet to stare at. Last fall I was at a crafts fair. Most of the exhibits were indoors, in 3 or 4 different buildings. As I was leaving one building and looking around to decide where to go next, I spotted this guy across the lot guy taking off his shoes and leaving them at the side of the building. Then he and his girlfriend (I assume she was his girlfriend) went inside. I decided that was where I would go next, and I followed them. He had great feet and legs, with shapely calves and slightly bulging veins. I tried not to be too creepy and weird, keeping a respectable difference, but I spent more time looking at his legs and feet than any of the crafts on display.
Here are a few pics.
