I've only worn a kilt once and it was surprisingly comfortable. A buddy and I did it at a party we had for a woman that was moving to Scotland. We dressed in the formal way with wing tipped tuxedo shirt, bowtie, tight vest, short jacket, white socks with garters and tuxedo shoes. Lot of fun.
