Someone who doesn't want to do real work.

I wanna be a house husband :p

Do you have a wife and kids?At 26 you have no idea what real work and commitment is.When was the last time you skipped a meal so your kids could eat?Have you ever changed a starter motor, water pump or done any automotive repiar in the dark on your back so your wife could go to work in the morning. You have no idea what real life,or real work is!In the next 12 years maybe you'll learn.

Growing up, my mother and sister always took care of the household chores with the result that when I was on my own two feet, I was absolutely useless domestically - and still am, in fact. I can barely figure out appliances of any sort. In retrospect I think my upbringing was probably a little too traditional. Given my ineptitude I doubt I'd make a good house husband (or any type of husband really) but it's nice to know that setups like this are possible in the 21st century.

Hmmmmm.... my ex was a house husband for a while. It was horrible because I couldn't get over the guilt that I wasn't do those jobs. I've been primary bread winner most of my life, yet I don't want a house husband. It didn't work for me.

BUT, I totally dig it that it works for other people. I just wished it could have worked for me.

For about 6 months after I got married I was a little house husband because I couldn't work in the US until I got my permanent resident status....

Same with my stepfather. He's a Greek man from Germany, and they came over about nine months ago. They moved back to Kentucky and married in February. Apparently, it's going to take about a year and a half before he'll become legal no short thanks to the backed-up paperwork.

Not sure if I understand correctly the reply to my question, but if I do, then I can say that I am a house husband who does "real and normal" work too outside full time. At times I feel I am going to collapse.

oh yes, am an aspiring actor and musician so maybe one day i can be a house husband, i'm quite a clean and tidy person anyway
Oh, I think this is a normal characteristic of certain artistic dispositions. That's how I feel it while I continue my music studies, despite my work and family load. Children can give you a hard time if you have the tendency to be as tidy as you say. I say this from personal experience.

Yeah, my partner and I have been together for 16 years. The first year I stayed home and he worked. Then we bought a business and haad it for 9 years. We worked side by side from 6 AM to 11 PM 365 days a year for 9 years. It was incredible. We sold the business and moved and he works now and I have been at home for 6 1/12 years.. I want a job but it is really difficult to get one in today's economy. So, I take care of the house, shop, cook and clean.

I'm retired as of 2 yrs ago, and sort of a house husband. i do kitchen cleanup, pay the bills, grocery shop and my own laundry. I also fix all the stuff that gets broken, wrench on our 5 cars, clean, wash & wax our cars, fertilize and treat the yard, split the mowing of yard with my wife, she likes to mow, clean and upkeep our backyard pool. my wife does not work either. she has her pets and flowers to keep her busy. I have remodeled a bathroom, painted, and put in a tile floor in kitchen and dining area. i'm kind of a jack of all trades, but not an expert on anything.

my sex drive is much higher than hers, but it is nice to just go in the bedroom and screw whenever the urge hits and we are in sync. no waiting til after the job, or that dinner meeting, or after the kids in bed. last winter, snowy day, we stayed in bed all day and fucked. wife said it was better than it was when we first got married 30 yrs ago. no commitments, few obligations. spread'm honey, I'm coming in.

I would never have used the term 'house husband' to describe myself, because I did work full-time while I was married. But I did most of the jobs that were traditionally done by wives: cooking, cleaning, etc. My ex-wife always wanted dinner ready when she got back from work. Of course, with only 10 minutes notice of when she was coming back, it's tough to make something good.

I am on Fridays. I don't work on Fridays. I do all the chores around the house so that my wife and I have the weekend free to get on our Harley and ride someplace. Sometimes I'll finish the chores around 2 or 3 PM and then sit down to the internet and watch porn. She always knows when she gets home due to the large bulge in my pants.
