I must say that Miss Manners is delighted to find this thread. As you can probably surmise, I have quite a green thumb. I spend many hours a week in my garden. I will be more than happy to share my gardening wisdom.

Well, I actually wouldn't have been able to, as you're brand new to the site. But, indeed!! Welcome and share as much as you'd like about your gardening skills.

I'm a sponge.

Thank you Tight_N_Juicy (and I must say I find your username quite devine).
I am having a problem with my hibiscus plant. I have owned them before, and not had many problems with them, but this one is a bit of a puzzle. It does bloom, but has an excessive amount of leaves that turn yellow and drop off. Watering less or more does not seem to make much of a difference.

Nitrogen deficiency, perhaps??

Don't wish to be rude, but those colours do rather clash!
If you knew much about plants, you might know that most of those grow together in the wild. I have a similar array in one of my gardens this year. They draw butterflies and hummingbirds.

Did I missread the post in which you introduced yourself? Did you not say you were a stickler for grammar and usage? You should distance yourself from that. You are only human. To art is human. To forgive is divine.

Miss Manners has embraced technology. Unfortunately, perhaps, a bit too much. These old fingers are not as spry and flexible as the once were. As such, I do rely on the spell checking software to alert myself to errant keystrokes. My spellchecker, however, seems to have a mind of its own. So far it has missed two of my spelling errors.
As for your quote, the actual quote begins "To err is human...", not "To art is human...". Don't worry, my dear, I forgive you.

Yeah, auto-correct does not like the word err. I just had to enter it twice, and manually add it to the dictionary to get it to stick instead of being changed to "art". However, I'm not someone who has presented myself as being authoritative and particular regarding proper grammar and style.

Just so there is only clarity between us, I neither require nor desire forgiveness from someone like you. I do not like fake bitches. I do not like people who treat me or my friends as if we are stupid. I've been here too long to miss certain tell-tale markers of someone who is only pretending to be new. Be real or be gone.

I find that autocorrect does not like a great many words. I do not consider myself an authority on proper grammar and proper English. I have made more than my fair share of grammatical and spelling faux pas over the years. I am always looking to improve.
The reference to art instead of err was made with my tongue planted firmly in cheek. I hope you took it as such. I, in no way, wish to offend.

This "oh so proper" Miss Manners speak is getting really tiresome very quickly. Miss Manners was a real person (or at least a real person that wrote under that name) that is clearly not you. It makes no sense what so ever for you to be on this site with this odd persona.

If I understand correctly, if you do not like me you can choose to ignore me.

This is a proven sock puppet account made by a person who is already a member.
This sock puppet is NOT new to the site and is deliberately deceiving the membership.

Worthless scum.

I suspected this as well. A few people are already speculating on who this annoying person is.

If it is the individual I suspect, banning never works long. They always come back. Worse than Mandy.

True. We can always play whack-a-troll with the resident sock puppet.

We haven't had a decent game in the longest time.
