Me turning 50 has put a damper on interest that's for sure.

That seemed to happen to me too @Infernal, but once I turned 60 it was a whole different story. It was like I came into demand again. After years of only occasional meetings usually with men in their 40s and 50s like me, I was meeting with guys a few times a week. Most of these guys were in the 18 - 35 year range and were guys who were married or in relationships, or wanting to try m2m sex and felt like they would prefer an older man who could be more like a mentor or teacher. I met most of these men through Craigslist and then Doublelist. They usually felt that getting together with someone in their own age group could come with too many problems. Some of these guys became quite close friends and told me that their confidence in their own sexuality was largely due to me being older than them and being able to help them with their feelings.

That is what happened to me BUT I fear my luck may have failed me. I can't complain. The rest of my life is absolutely amazing and I've had an enviable sex life. Still.....

Interesting post but I can agree with that. When I was younger the majority of the men I met were older. I actively searched out for older men when there were still cruisy areas. The sex was just better. When Craigslist was up it was primarily older married or attached men on there and it was very easy to meet someone in my area. Now that it’s gone maybe we’ll need to go back to subtle cues or language to get our interests across. I’ve had no luck with the apps.

The biggest problem with SD is that it limits a person to only two messages a day, which makes it difficult to even reply to someone.

Yes they are steadily improving it & its FREE...

Unfortunately they require phone SMS verification, and do not allow numbers outside the US.
