Well, you're wrong there, VinylBoy! Interestingly - I note your percentages are the same as mine. And why do I rate myself 10% straight? Because I like women, I have women friends, and I can notice and admire a beautiful face. But get below the neck, and boobs are a total turn-off, let alone anything further south. Sexually my straightness is nil.

But this whole fascinating thread shows how impossible it is to pigeon-hole human sexuality: the variants, shades and grades are kaleidoscopic. As unique as our individuality.

Mine is 10% because I have actually had a 2 year relationship with a woman before. And I never rejected the idea of being in another one in the future. I just know what I prefer and what I tend to chase after. :wink:

As for the boobs comment. I wasn't approaching that from a sexual standpoint, but more as a silly comment. All I know is that I tend to laugh when anyone of my female friends get all rowdy and start shakin' them around. Doesn't mean I want to lick 'em or anything.

I think your attitude is perfect, Andy. I'm gay with many straight male friends, that doesn't make my friends gay, just open minded. I've said this on other threads. I've had a relationship with my best buddy since we were kids. For lack of any better words I'd say we love each other. I've also had a few other experiences with guys in my life but generally I'm attracted to girls. So that's my 90% story.

If you are 100% straight, you are straight...if you are 100% gay, you are gay. If you are between 99% and 1% then you have no sexual orientation, but sexual preference and you prefer one or the other.

100%/0% - seems to only be interested in one sex. No exceptions.

99%/1% - seems to have an appreciation/curiosity for the same/opposite sex (depending on how close you are to gay or straight).

90%/10% - probably would act on, given the opportunity, an encounter with the same/opposite sex.

80%/20% - probably seeks action with the same/opposite sex every now and then, but mainly engages in relations with their preferred gender.

70%/30% - probably seeks action with the same/opposite sex more often than not, but engages most with their preferred gender.

60%/40% - seeks encounters with both genders and most of them are their preferred gender.

50%/50% - equally seeks encounters with both genders.

I think that sounds about right. This would also apply with the "sexuality is fluid" argument.

I don't think there is such a thing as 100% straight.
