How can you tell?

First point, I'm gay.

Now here is the main point. I want to know how can you tell if someone is interested in you? As it stands I don't have the best "sense" for this kind of thing (social skills are fair), I mean I have been told that girls check me out but I really don't notice.

Now the story. Last Friday I encountered this guy at some game night my school was having. I have seen him before throughout the school and near the Student Union (main hangout area). He seems nice and all. Anyway, throughout that night there were times when he brushed against me, either my chest, across my arm, or like patting my back. I did not really do anything about it since it did not bother me, yet at the same time I wondered in this is flirting.

I would just like to know some answers. One to the general question of how do I know, and also about the little story.

Also what to do about it.
