How cold is it where you live?

    - I swear I bundled up properly before going outside yesterday.
Garbed in panties, lightly padded bra, turtleneck, wool cardigan, flannel lined LL Bean jeans, cashmere socks, and sturdy insulated winter boots which almost reach my knee, long wool coat, scarf, hat, and cashmere lined leather gloves. Damned if I don't look down and see my fucking nipples poking through all those layers. Now that people is COLD!!

    - It was so cold last night I ordered in, and I tipped the delivery boy an extra $5 to take my trash to the dumpster. It's less than 100 yards from my front door, but I just couldn't bare the thought of going out in that frigid weather again.

Colder than an early morning shower on the shady side of an iceberg.

I'm in Chicago. It's been below zero, or at most in the single digits for DAYS now. I bundle up in long underwear, and at least 3 layers of shirts, plus a heavy wool coat. I'm comfortable in that outside for a little while. Before it snowed, it was so dry! and below zero.....your snot freezes inside your nose before it even has a chance to run out. gross I know, but true. It hurts to breathe! You have to breathe thru a scarf.

I usually sleep naked. but it gets so cold at night I've been bundling up to go to bed at night. It got down to -17 in the burbs last night. Brrrr!!!!

Single digits and highs in the mid-teens. Usually comfortable in two layers, but I absolutely hate the cold so I don't go outside unless I have to.

In southcentral Alaska, and 1300', right now it is +30f by my thermometer, last week it got up to +50f for several days. Didn't have to bundle up as much as usual to stand outside the federal building for an hour for a peace demonstration last friday. It was t-shirt weather, at least in the afternoon sun. Normal averages are -5f to +20f. I would rather it stay below +25f so the beautifull snow accumulates, not melt and get sloppy.

While it's been quite cool here, and considering that last Thursday we were hit with just over 4" of snow, and since then it's only been the the mid 30s to about 40 degrees, today it was a very warm 64.

    It's just bizarre.

At present -10 degrees Celcius not counting wind chill but this hasn't been our coldest day.

I must admit though that even on the coldest days I've never been able to see my nipples through a wool coat.

I knew that about you and it is why I put back the shirt I most wanted to buy. It was cold in Penney's and my nipples were hard and prominent.

about 65 midday. Not it's mid-50s and won't get much warmer than that tomorrow.
