Hi,

When I got circ'd the urologist said he removed my frenulum as it would have a tendency to tear during sex.

In some of my attempts at sex (failed due to my girth when fully erect), I have found attempts at intercourse due to my size (and perhaps lack of lube or her being wet), so I can see any frenulum remaining tearing easily. I can't see a frenoplasty fixing this if my frenulum was not tight (my glans was never bent down anyway).

So how common is tearing of the frenulum in circ'd guys? I can imagine it being common due to the change in mechanics during sex.

When you're circumcised and you pull down on the shaft skin of the penis, it'll exert equal tension all around the rim of the head, including the area where the frenulum was. Because this tension is spread out there's very little chance of anything tearing.

If you're uncut and have a short frenulum, when the skin of the penis is pulled down the mobile skin on the dorsal side will slide back easily, transferring the full force of the tension onto the frenulum, which can then snap or tear as a result.

Occasionally you will find cut guys with a prominent frenulum remnant, but there's only a risk of these being problematic if an uneven amount of skin was removed, leaving the ventral side tighter and causing the head to tilt forward as the frenulum remnant pulls it down. Even in such cases the chances of the frenulum tearing are still slim, as pulling the head forward to that degree is usually enough to equalise the tension all the way around.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. You just need to get used to using it and build some confidence. And use some damn lube, lol.

HUH? Once you are cut, you would probably need to be messing around with razor blades to tear your frenulum, assuming it is even present! Unfortunately, I still have mine, and it's fully intact- damn the hospital intern who was first learning. Even when I've jerked myself off to bleeding, that little blob just sits there doing nothing of any value. Hmm vaultboy - love the extensive vocabulary: "prominent frenulum remnant", "ventral side". Would it be rude on my part to ask where you learned such big words? I'm most definitely curious, if you catch my drift.

Hmm so the surgeon was just talking rubbish then? Ahh

It's stupid logic then, that's like saying my leg should be removed because the leg could break (in an extreme circumstance).

I have some frenulum remnant, parts of this area feel a bit too sensitive, like my glans. Rubbing it does get me erect, and using a vibrator causes what feels like a build up to cumming (but not had the patience to try and sit there waiitng).

HairyLegs - why would you want your frenulum removed? It is supposed to be the most sensitive part of the dick. Sounds like it does not provide you any pleasure?
