By framing the poll questions as "how disgusting/off-putting" and "am I ugly" shows us what frame of mind you're in and what kind of answer you're looking for.

I don't have a lot of self confidence and I have been told I'm ugly, had doors closed in my face and walked out on, but I don't actively seek that type of negativity.

When someone I'm not physically attracted to reached out to me, I don't reply with what I do not find attractive. I may say, "nice smile" or "nice thickness" (and I mean it) before adding "it's not quite a match." I have never done the many awful rude things that have been done to me (unless someone is treating me rudely and awfully first).

If you scarring bothers you, you may want to consult with a surgeon about resurfacing, but that can be expensive. Or you may try to use a concealer (one that doesn't clog your pores and cause more acne if it's still a problem). Make-up counter people are typically friendly and want you to look your best.

I think you have great bone structure, personally.

You're not ugly - you would look less serious if you smile - show some teeth. I don't really think the acne scars detract from you in any way, but I understand why you would be bothered by them. Seriously, practice smiling.

yes I should practice smiling. Thank you for your commentary.

I’ve been slowly improving my mental health and how harshly I treat myself but it’s like a war with some battles being won over time only to lose some later on. I prefer not to use make up too much besides like a primer to even out the smallest of pores because I think my scars are too deep for make up to make much of a difference. Also, not to put down men who use makeup but I don’t want to appear more feminine than some people have already told me I am. Sometimes I get confused for a butch lesbian lol.

Your acne scars are barely noticeable at all. I think you are a pretty good looking guy.

Love the pics of Rome. It’s my second favorite city (Paris). Given that you’re from Dallas I’m wondering if you attended a certain Catholic university. No matter either way.
I’m returning to Rome next fall and can’t wait.

I really had to enlarge the pics to see your scars. There are some options available but they are not inexpensive. Find a great plastic surgeon and have a consultation. Consults are typically free. If no one in your area does them for free watch for open houses and attend one of those. Do not skimp on the Dr. period!!
