i say (functionally at least) it's better to be a grower and not a shower. why would you want to lug something between your legs that is huge at all times? much easier when it's small most of the time and grows for the main show IMHO

Don't think you can... but be glad you are that big hard. I know a guy with a really big flaccid cock - impressive - but it doesn't get much bigger when hard, just rigid. I'm quite small when soft but grow a lot when hard; rather be that way than the other.

This sounds like locker room envy. Common enough but really as previous posters have said, it's the 'main event' that matters.
At 8" you're begger than me hard and way above average, so be proud of that.
I have the opposite problem: a shower. 6.5 ish soft and 7.5 hard.
