hah! No sexual device can replace a real human being. If you asked women whether they would rather have man's penis inside them or a sex toy, I'd bet most would say a penis.

I think you're right. I would choose the real deal. Toys are not a replacement for men. They're an enhancement to the experience. Hopefully for both parties.

i don't know if "jealous" is the right word i'd use...i'll admit to feeling some male machismo pride thing well up in me, like "why should she need that when she's got me?" but then i tell that thing to shut the hell up. ;) because it's not a case of "instead of," so much as it is "in addition to." when my partners have had sex toys in the past, and they were secure enough to pull them out while i was around, we had some fun incorporating them...showing me how they use them on themselves, letting me play around and get them off with just the toys, comparing my "equipment" to theirs. lol. it can be a lot of fun if you're open to it.

as for that macho pride thing...i've figured out not to repress it so much as sublimate it, use the competitive drive..."well, if that thing can get her off so well, i'd better step up my own game to match it!" :-D

ok, so wanking is ok but wanking with lube or handcream isn't?
some guys mattress hump instead, so they wouldn't be allowed to wank.

this is discriminatory, because some women find it so damn hard or even impossible to orgasm from fingers alone.
many need a vibe in order to make masturbation worthwhile.

?
it's not discriminatory hun you just (as usual) have a double standard for men vs women

She never said that it would be wrong for men to use a Fleshlight. I don't see where she indicated that she has any double standards.

as the clever lady said, how is it a double standard?
you can use fleshlights, hand cream, apple pies! it's just wanking. and i think everyone should have the right to explore their own bodies.
your standards on the other hand...

With regards to lotion and cream, I don't think you can call that a sex toy. The only reason I use it is because a dry hand rubbing up against a dry dick will cause a rash. Never heard a girl fingering herself/rubbing her clit and it causing a rash. Frankly, I'd much prefer not to use any lotion because it's messy and makes for a much longer clean-up process but you kind of have to use it.

Now if a guy is using it just because of the feeling, then yeah I'd could see the sex toy comparison. But personally, using a hand or lotion doesn't qualify as a sex toy imo. It's just kind of necessary if you jack off often.

about the only thing I use in bed is a cock ring once in awhile. the wife isn't too crazy about toys at all. if I do use a cock ring,my already fat cock, gets fatter and becomes uncomfortable for the wife. years back, sometimes she would want to measure me, so she would suck me hard, slip on the cock ring, some addl stroking and sucking. basically, clamping. and she would measure. "gawd, I married a horse" she would get visually turned on, and then mount me, struggling to get it in.

nuh uh.
i've posted before that i have to use force enough to cause soreness & bruising to get off with my fingers, but a vibe is quick, gentle and easy.
and don't even get me started on fingernails!

If that's your deal then that's understandable. But I'd have to think you're in the minority with regards to the bruising. Therefore, the comparison of guys using lotion to a sex toy is still not really applicable.

no, actually it's not at all uncommon for women not to be able to orgasm without toys.
a wank aid is a wank aid is a wank aid.
...as long as it's an inanimate object.

self pleasuring is a right.

Yea, wrt to clit orgasms, count me in as one of the women who cannot typically get off from fingers on clit alone, not other people's fingers anyway. There has been one exception, but his fingers are exceptionally wide and long and he has a very strong touch and knows me well. But no one else's fingers have ever given me a clit orgasm. I need a vibe. I have been able to get myself off clitorally with my own fingers in the past, but my wrist sure does get tired. Just gimme the vibe thanks.

yeah, that's another thing.
it's actually quite awkward to reach your own g-spot and quite hard on wrists & fingers if you take time & force to achieve clitoral orgasms.

there's a sizable minority of women out there who never manage to orgasm. ever. in their entire lives.
needing toys shouldn't be stigmatised.

What does orgasaming from toys have to do with this? I'm talking about your bruising from rubbing yourself.

There is a difference between a wank aid that prevents you from hurting yourself (lotion or a vibrator in your case) and a wank aid that helps you just pleasure yourself (dildo, people who use vibrators that don't suffer from bruising, beads, etc).

My friends bf threw her vibrator out on the street, saying that she didn't need it and that she had him and yet I believe he had a porn stash.

My ex had a suitcase full of magazines, dvd's etc and he was surprised that I wasn't mad when I found out, he was even more surprised when I asked if I could have a look through them!

sounds like he has control issues
