It's still slightly embarrassing - especially if you know them well. I feel like they'll think I'm inventing excuses to get ppl to feel me bollocks. :redface:

I'm thinking this one isn't a problem for many girls :smile:. I agree that it's worse when you know them well.

Best one ever was when TheBF was with me. He asked me if I wanted him to leave the room, but I really didn't want him to. I said, "Now you'll know what it's like!" and he made jokes and was hilarious and it wasn't at all weird. I've never felt so comfortable spread eagle on the table before.

I had a "home visit" from a gyno once. I didn't find out what he did for a living until afterwards, but I had noticed that he had very soft hands...

Doesnt bother me at all.After having 6 kids by IVF and numerous procedures i'm used to it now.Plus i work with my gynaecologist,he's the best so i feel very safe.

Well, after just doing my yearly routine I realize that I dread them. When i lived in Atlanta I had a wonderful woman OB/GYN that made the visits more than bearable. We would joke and laugh and sometimes cry. We really got to know each other.

Now, my doc is OK, but she's not nearly as personable. Very routine and comprehensive. Almost too damn comprehensive! LOL! And I also had the same internal ultrasound with the "wand" that definitely looks like a dildo with a condom covering it. I have a very high sex drive, but that thing did absolutely nothing for me! Maybe she didn't have it on the right power setting. Hmmmm.

I strongly suspect very few people would react sexually to it. It is a completely non-sexual situation after all.

Thanks to this thread I got off my butt today and went and got the pap smear I was due for. See, the internet IS good for our health :smile:.
