Rather confused here. I've always been attracted to women and have only been with women. I agree with not putting a label on yourself as so many have said. You may want to look at this as less a matter of A B or C and more like a spectrum range. To respond to the original poster's question. I am bisexual because I'm attracted to some women and some men equally, not all people. My attraction is not just to their particular body parts, like breasts, vaginas, dicks, or chests. I'm attracted to the whole person and I like to be in relationships with them. For me there's no difference being intimate sexually and emotionally with either gender. It's all about what I like or love about them. This should be equally felt by my friend/partner.
