I always use something with a loose pouch as I can't stand the feeling of it all hanging and shifting until finally I have a 'one sided' bulge down one leg, in a pouch (not a fitted one) I point it up and have had many a roving eye and comments on my bulge, so I don't think that making it go up makes no bulge, it works for me.
