I really want to know how people have the time to make 5 or more posts a day on a regular basis? Some of the members on here have post counts in the high 5 digits and have only been members for 2 or 3 years. I tried to post as much as I can but cannot seem to get my post count to go up nearly as fast. How many hours a day on average do some on you spend on here?

Why is it important to you to have a high post count?

I post when I have something to say or to amuse myself.

edit: given the nature of this forum, wouldn't a pneumatic lift be more appropriate than a ratchet?

I spend maybe an hour or two the most at a time, typing fast and feeling the need to put your two cents into everything helps.
Actually, i'd much rather be in your shoes, in my opinion the higher the post count the less of a life i have(normal).

Dude, it's not like you win the "Get A Life" prize or credit.

Now, I could have posted that bit about pneumatics vs ratchets in a separate post, but as you can see, I just edited my original post, demonstrating that a high post count is not a goal of mine.

I just type fast and like to add my two cents to just about everything. But then again, I don't have a high post count, though I know I definitely do have an above average count for how long I've been here... I just jump in with two feet... and I have nothing else to do at night. LOL! (Or like now, apparently during lunchtime)

Greet every new member-add more than a dozen daily if you do that-and post in as many posts as possible of the fun and games- Last person to Post Wins, Word Association, are good for building numbers up.

Additionally, give short one or two word responses. Occasionally a paragraph or two if it's a subject you feel passionately about.

Try the above methods, and soon you too can have daily averages of 35 or more.

Some people only post the words. "Get a life" while other people write a five paragraph essay on how to "get a life" is one of the differences. The difference in time spent between these two styles of writing is astounding.
