.Burningvenus,
So I assume that any man who doesn't gawk at you as you walk by is presumed gay. ..
I don't presume anything, I'm talking about something I notice. I'm unusual looking, so I get a lot of stares. And you can learn a lot about yourself and others in something as simple as a passing glance.
<--- this look is too much. I prefer this
or this:wink:.
A gay man might be more like . If hes like my gay friends, he's a safe warm place to land. That absence of sexual tension can make for strong friendships. And those friends tend to like some of the things that I like -- fashion, style, decor, art, gardening, wittiness, fitness, good film and of course, hot men :biggrin1:
That sounds pretty much like a stereotype. Some straight men know that double and triple takes make women feel uncomfortable. Unless your only attracted to the insecure lust hounds.
I have always had a great gaydar so I usually don't have a problem... But it is getting harder with stereotypes evaporating, metrosexuality and gay men not wanting to be stereotypes anymore...
Two things a friend told me to look for that I have found to be true a lot of the time is Fingernails and Pockets...
His theory was that gay guys will usually have nice, clean, manicured fingernails (for aesthetic and practical reasons) wheras straight guys tend to not show much concern in that area.
As for pockets he reckons that gay guys tend to like a smooth leg so will have smaller wallets/phones and carry less so their trousers hang well. Straight guys tend to pile everything they own in their pockets resulting in unsightly side bulges...
Maybe a bit stereotypical and not always true but I think it is pretty accurate a lot of the time :biggrin1:![]()
This is an interesting & funny response. I especially like the part about how gay guys don't have "unsightly side bulges". My side bulges are definitely unsightly & lack a sense of fashion for sure. :biggrin1:
