Nick8 went to Scotland and bought himself two kilts. He wore the first one today and discovered that sitting down on the toilet wasn't so easy. He found that the kilt bunched up and had problems keeping it off the toilet seat.... so he just took it off.

What do women do in this situation? Do you actually take off the skirt or do you bunch it up some special way first? What tips and tricks do women have for these sorts of situations?

Really, Jason. Did you have to tell everyone that I sit down to pee?

'Cause I'd rather they think that than the other thing, which I definitely do not do. Ever.

Wow, I had to think. Like Kotchanski it's nothing I really think about - I just do it. So, yeah, I guess I try to be neat about it without really knowing it, but I sort of "fold" my skirt up and hold it usually, most of it in my lap. None of it ever touches the toilet seat! I mean, really, I hardly ever touch the toilet seat unless it's in my house!

You will note that I said nothing about why you were sitting. I phrased the question very carefully.

Which is why you are full of it.

I do as the other girls do with their skirts unless it is a pencil skirt or a hobble skirt, then it is just best to take it off , fold it length ways and put it over my shoulder.

It's not as if most skirts will wrinkle. Nor would a kilt. Very rarely have I been wearing a skirt tight enough that I had any difficulty in simply flipping it up out of the way. And any skirt that tight would hinder sitting down at all, or possibly even walking.

Scotsmen in kilts also have no trouble using urinals.

I'd like to know how southeast Asian men in long tradtional wraps do it.

If it's long, I take it off because I don't want it touching the ground. And I never sit on a toilet seat other than my own. Those are my tips and tricks :)

Hoik it up around your waist, and gather it up in a bunch in your lap. Once you've done your business, you can hold it all in place with one hand while finishing up. And always make sure that it's hanging free in the back before exiting - there's nothing worse than walking out with your kilt caught up in your breeks - if you're wearing any!

I have a heavy-duty military nine-yard kilt. It's a challenge to gather up all that industrial weight wool. A friend who's been kilted continuously for the past several years, will just squat somewhere mid-conversation to pee. Looks like he's just really casual, and squatting on his haunches to chat, until he stands, and you see what just happened.

In any case, I'd definitely like to know a better way to take care of things.

Man, I miss Jason. And I haven't worn my kilt(s) in over a year.

I have a kilt, and when i wear it I never wear underpants. I just pull up the overlapping panels at the front, which lifts my sporran too, and pee away.

As I don't wear skirts, I often imagined it was one of the reasons women go in groups to the bathroom. "Hey, will you help me hold up my skirt?"
