know how you might feel seeing your face on a website...
when i first came out an let folks take pictures..they said it was just for them..
and then i saw a picture of my face sucking a hot cock..but that was not as bad as seeing the pictures behind on the wall of my (past) wife and our children looking down..lol:biggrin1:
had him remove that picture asap...
now i dont give a hell...i am a hot cocksucker and would love for you to see me in action...
but the ones i bottom dont want anyone to know that they love it...lol:tongue:
I think we all need to take care. Many of us have jobs where innocent stuff could be used against us.
The real risk is probably not from posting an image as Norseman has done, but leaving a trace of that image on your PC, digital camera, whatever.
I dont care. If anyone finds me from this site then fair play to them. They'll be told to fuck off.
I'm only a student too so if anyone did find out worst that would happen would probably be a lot more attention from the ladies lol.
I hear ya, norseman, and I fully understand that 'big step' feeling. While I too have my body 'out there', I only ever share face pics with those who I have fully vetted and can trust 'with my life'. Futhermore, I figure if anyone I do business with is actually able to recognize my partially nude, headless body, I've got waaaaaay bigger (heh... no pun intended!) problems already.
I'm proud of my body and I don't see anything inherently 'wrong' with posting pics of it for others to see, provided it's done tastefully and in an appropriate setting such as this forum. IMO, if one has no interest in, nor expects to encounter a few 'skin' pics on a site with the phrase 'large penis' in the name, they have absolutely no business being here, no matter who they are!
The way I look at it, if they do somehow find out, they're gonna have some 'splainin' to do themselves. While one must assess their own risks and proceed with whatever they are comfortable with, it seems to me as though Paul has done just that.
I'll second that. I too am a student (medicine) and one day I will graduate. I can't afford anything coming up at me.
I was going to say the same thing. How is it they came to find you on LPSG in the first place
As for pictures, i'm not necessarily 'exposed' (i thought id leave something to the imagination, but let's just say i happen to be part of a semi-famous website where my face in the pic would be recognised if someone came along. Still i would be interested why they saw me here in the first place, and it's not like having a bick dick is an issue with me being a gal and all so im happy
A psychiatrist here in San Francisco was a member of some on line group where he posted revealing pictures. A coworker happened on to them, down loaded them, and showed them around the workplace. Happy ending; the coworker (not the psychiatrist) was fired.
However, not everyone lives in liberal San Francisco. Even I don't show my face on the internet. With President Shrub's free rein to pry into anyone's personal business, coupled with the Attorney General's campaign to stamp out everything that he desides is porn, I think that we all have reason for concern.........
Some employers regularly do online searches about potential employees. The HR people say they do it to look for drug or other references like that, as well as public talk about business (griping about your current employer is a big one they look for). Ususally one of the advice columns reminds me of this the moment I start looking for a new job (as I am now, having been recently laid off. I think it was Dear Abby this time).
In some situations (e.g. security employment) there might be further digging to find out if there is information you could be blackmailed for, or embarass you during some buisiness or legal negotiations, etc.
Just a thought.
And yeah, there are pics of me floating around both face and "other". It might very well come back to bite me at some point so I take some precautions. Not perfect, but I'm not in a security related business.
That's why I took down the two pictures I ever had up.....one was a partial face-shot with an ex of mine (so obviously that's gone, although it was quite a nice picture) and the other was a "full exposure".....which made me feel so uncomfortable after a few days that I took it off. I'm a teacher, I don't need one of my students ever stumbling upon such a thing.
I guess I'm pretty exposed
But I've decided what the hell-- if someone has seen my pics they have either ASKED or visited one of the sites that I've posted
It's still a chance-- but I guess I get a little charge out of it
See my prior post on the subject here.
*discreetly feels backside*
Nope, I'm not exposed.
As can be seen in my own avitar, I personally don't have a problem showing what I've got in a forum with the name "penis" i the title ... in fact, I would even expect to see (gasps!) penises on a site like this. However, I did not include my face on this picture for the very reasons other people mentioned -- it could come back to bite me in the ass, and not in the fun kinky way either. But, said and done, I'd definltely expect people to be showing what they have in this type of forum, and would anticipate anyone surfing this forum is in a similar situation of having a big dick. Just thoughts ...
I'm careful about what's exposed here. I am a well known business person where I live. I made a choice to either show my face or my cock here but not both. The choice has been made. Here I am. I've showed some PG bod shots but that's it and that's how it will stay. Maybe one day I'll just snap and post a bunch of cock shots and JO vid, who knows?
I eagerly await this day.
I hear what the younger guys are saying here. It is different being 18 to 25. Suppose a total nude picture of me at age 20 comes floating along on the internet and is downloaded and shown all across the town I live. Embarassment would be the only negative consequence.
However, if a full frontal picure of me at age 54 were to surface the consequences would be drastically different.
Why? The job I have wouuld accept something 34 years ago as not relevant to right now. Yesterday's nude photo shot would be relevant.
Second point. we older guys are living in a different set of values than younger people. The Schrub will not reign for long. The pendulum will swing back.
There will come a time like the 50s when if a guy wasn't willing to get in the nude in an all male swim party he was called a sissy. Each generation has its own set of values.
Don't for a minute fool yourself into thinking that in the vastness of the world wide web your own itty bitty pic cannot possibly surface to bite you in the ass.
A couple of months ago, the Chairman of one of our local county's School Board put a shirtless pic of himself on an obscure gay personals website. Within days it was on the front page of every newspaper in Central Virginia. He subsequently resigned his chairmanship and a controversy is still stirring whether he should leave the board altogether.
