Dude, Sunday schoolers are sometimes the kinkiest wildcats ever in the sack. Once you get them started they don't want to stop. I think it has to do with guilt and forbidden fruit who knows what. It will surprise and amaze you.

Don't limit yourself. Have fun!

For myself if I am going to seriously date somebody I would prefer if they are Christian. I really don't feel like explaining myself tonight; Instead I will offer you some advice on how to find yourself a G/F without religion. Look on Sunday morning. If they are a die hard fundie they better be in church; if they are skipping then there is a chance that they are not die hard or that they are not religious.

One thing I cannot get over, which continues to piss me off beyond belief (pardon the pun) is this stupid assumption that all "religion" has something to do with one's point of view on "God" or deity or any of that personal supreme being bullshit. The latin roots of the word "relgion" come from the general prefix "re-" which just means "again" or "repeat" and utlimately "ligare" which means "to bind" so religion is that which rebinds you, a source of a pattern in life. In this sense, materialism or unquestioning belief in the neoliberal picture of the global market is just as much a religion as Christianity or Islam or...wait, we ignore an entire majority of the world...what of the more flexible pictures of deity in the wildly diverse Hindu world, or the beliefs of the non-authoritarian believers of many non-Indo-European, more akin to shamanistic, traditions. And finally, what of this huge "religion" which has probably historically influenced just as many people and peoples, historically, as much as if not more than Christianity, which is called Buddhism....

Anyhow, to the dude who originally started this thread, I would continue to hold true to your beliefs (or lack thereof), and I would suggest, as several others have, if you are in Abeleine, that you find a way to get to Austin at some point. But failing that, hang in there. Do not give up your principles for the sake of getting laid, because you will regret it (I have gone the route of pretending before myself and ended up regretting it). Find a way to take some weekends in a more relaxed, open-minded locale such as Austin, or head west to Albuquerque, or north to OKC...

sorry mr. tree of life... I was intentionally being simplistic in the definitions I was using since we were talking about a town in Texas and I didn't feel that the broader and more correct meanings of the words were really relevant in this context. Didn't mean to piss you off so much.

I live in the Bible Belt. Religion, Christianity is extremely dominent.

Dominus - latin, Lord - Dominari to lord over - to dominate - good one Freddie.

The only thing ill limit myself from, is going to church to pick up chicks lol.

I had a friend who pulled a girl at the Vatican.

I think Dolf's advice of going out on a Sunday Morning is pretty good.

You could tell a church girl that' you're 1% gay, that seems to hook them. I had a girl come on to me when she found out I had a boyfriend, said she had to show me that I could be in love with a woman, like I should be. She still tries. lol I think dolf250's idea is the best one I've read.

First of all,I'm sorry to hear that these so called Christians are treating you like dirt because you belive in athiesm. As a Christian myself, I get upset when other Christians don't LOVE & RESPECT THIER NAUGHBORS AS THEMSELVES. As for relationships between religions, I have seen how dangerous this is. It's hard to keep (Though not imposible) a good relationship when people believe in two differant things. It's not hard to be friends, but when a relationship grows stronger, opinions grow stronger as well. If you are strong in your faith in athiesm, then it might be wise to find some-one of the same fiath. how-ever that's only my opinion.

Im in abilene texas. Its kind of an out of the way, stuck in the middle of nowhere city. The closest big cities are at least 3 hours drive away, and the surrounding towns are way more "country" and more scarce of people and more populated by cows lol.
