I live in Toronto, Canada. No problems what so ever. We get over a million people at our pride parade. LGBTQ people are very visible here.

PS, CDMX is one of my favourite places to go.

Cologne is great. Pretty left wing city with plenty of artists and alternative types generally. PDA is easy, there's a vibrant gay community here. The CSD (Pride) is one of the biggest in Germany. I have less of an idea about rural Germany, but I wouldn't want to live there anyway.

I live in Holland, MI, and, would classify this place as socially conservative for the most part; however, there are those of us, who don't subscribe to the "immoral majority". My wife is very active with support groups for gay teens and women's empowerment.

Just as many gays here as anywhere but it's certainly on the down low. I'm in the deep south, small town. People know homosexuality is as common as breathing but it is still kept quiet. I believe homophobia is pretty prevalent here as well. I know a guy here who by his actions over the years seems deathly afraid of it. My belief is because he is secretly gay. He has a gay son. I can see the consuming fear in his eyes and in his actions. The personal feeling I have gotten from him over the years is he wouldn't piss on me if I were on fire.

I live in the Virginia suburbs of DC. We live in a very liberal and welcoming neighborhood. In our neighborhood of about 350 houses, at least 35 households are gay/lesbian. About 15 years ago at a large neighborhood party, one resident whom we knew very well made a public announcement that he was going to transition. Even the most conservative people in the neighborhood rallied around in support.
In the greater Washington region LGBTQ people just live their lives as they wish. Even 15 years ago when my partner (now husband) had serious life-threatening illnesses, the medical staff at our nearby huge hospital had no issues in accepting me as his legitimate spouse in making life and death decisions.
We are totally out. I build expensive houses and I've been totally out with clients for almost 30 years.

Altough Im bisexual - I can see how things works in my country about gays. Hungary is full of homophobic people - even our leader made a statement about gays that they shouldnt do things like holding hands or kissing as heteros. Im very sad about it but here you should be closeted about your sexuality. If I would tell my boss that Im bisexual he would probably fire me (he would find a way to manage it and would say its ot about my sexuality but it is )

In here homophobic idiots can burn rainbow flags without consequences :(

50 neonazis burned a rainbow flag - Hungarian government had nothing to say about it | Budapest Pride

But there are gays here who coming out and fight their rights. I support them.

Wow. I guess my partner and I won't go to Hungary. Too bad.

Atlanta is the unofficial gay capitol of the south and the community here big enough to have a presence and small enough to where most guys seem to know the same people in their age group. That has both positives and negatives. We are still in the south and that means lots of churches, visitors from rural areas who are not as open minded, but overall it's fine. Since my mother lives only a few hours away in southern Alabama it's pretty much the only place I imagine I will ever live.

However, we actually don't have as many gay hang out spots as one might think and I've found that some of the guys here can be extremely petty to each other. One of my buds left here for Seattle a year ago and he told me how much more friendly the city was there, gay and straight.

It's changed a lot in the UK over the last even ten years and is now widely accepted.

I live in Michigan, it's definitely better than it had been. There are people who are open about it now, but I think we're still a state where they can fire you for being gay. But we also have an openly lesbian Attorney General now.

I'm still pretty low key about it but I think younger people are more daring.

In Norway we are in general very accepting towards the gay community. We also have legislation in place to protect against discrimination. Homosexuality was decriminalised in 1972, civil partnership was introduced in 1993, and marriage in 2008 so we are doing quite well.
