There does not seem to be much that is "below" the standards of modern "news media".
D.C, is currently filled with seniors, they must retire or expire someday.

Most porn fetishes might seem a bit odd unless one is into it. I know a lot of people enjoy climax scenes. In the 90's the local news station did a special on the local porn shop and their offering of a popular bukkake series. The news presenters acted as though viewing such material was as low as one could possibly go.

Then again, we freely elect gay candidates. So perhaps the public wouldn't really care about someone's habits regarding getting off. I remember when being gay was more "taboo" than porn. Maybe 30 years ago or so.

Before people rush to judgment, I feel that almost anything goes if nobody gets hurt. There is almost no way that jerking off can hurt anybody. Gay sex between consenting adults is equally harmless.

What exactly is your point?

Are you suggesting the media will soon begin reporting the porn-related browser history of candidates? What indication is there of that?

And that’s some textbook, classic passive-aggressive homophobia there. First you assert that being gay is a perversion or a taboo, then immediately proclaim that *you* are okay with it because everybody should be able to do their own thing.

That way you can get in your “gays are deviant” dig, but then absolve yourself of any bigotry because you’re like a libertarian or something who tolerates any disgusting deviance as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.

This has nothing to do with homophobia. Jack Ryan's political career was curtailed by Jerry Ryan and her accusations of him taking her to sex clubs in Europe.

Today's age has changed some but mud slinging still exists and candidates will use whatever BS they can gather on their opposition to gain the upper hand. With the cyber age, I'm glad I'm not in the public eye.

Yep, I agree the topic of this thread has nothing to do with homophobia. The OP just threw a dash of it in there for the hell of it.

As for the actual topic, I disagree with the OP that it’s the media that is violating privacy to that extent. I have yet to see examples of journalists illegally access candidates browsing histories in order to disclose their porn preferences.

Other candidates and special interest groups, that’s another story. But we have to be careful of blaming the media (notice how the OP put “news media” in quotation marks) for this. If one candidate or special interest group digs up and publishes such dirt on another candidate, it is a news story and will be reported on as such. What the OP is suggesting plays into the dangerous “fake news” narrative our president and his supporters love so much.

His career tanked because if the infidelity and deviant behavior - not his porn history per se. I think a person's porn history could be easily hacked. Most people have poor security and it doesn't take a lot to find a trail. That said, I think political operatives are smart enough to know that there is a porn history for almost everyone. Since Trump and the so called Christians threw away all personal moral standards, as long as its for a white racist, I'm not sure a candidate would be hurt by having a porn history revealed. Although I would re-think Mayor Pete if I found out he was watching hetero porn. That would male his whole campaign story a fraud (j/k).

I also agree with you that I am glad to be out of the public eye.

If I make a run for president none of you better say anything about my dick that's it. I think I would do a better job regardless of my penchant for porn and misspent youth.
The fact that you proudly put a picture of your dick out there would gain you some respect and prove you have courage.

Sound like a future chief of staff in my administration. Now if we can nail down Vermont I think we got it
Hmm, Chief of Staff? Does that mean I'm in charge of all the staffs? Cut. Uncut. Long. Short. Thick. Thin.

Going off of what I've read that you've posted I'm sure you are more qualified than the Resident in Chief.

Who says I need to be qualified? Being unqualified works for Jared and Ivanka. Most of tRump's Cabinet too.

If you skip the pilots course, I am wearing a blindfold. Anything else being unqualified makes you a highly attractive candidate, just make sure you can barbecue and help me throw empty beer cans around the White House lawn
