I usually type what comes right off the top of my head. While typing I alter comments that may appear overly blunt or possibly too offensive. If I leave em in, it's deliberately so (for effect). Every word is pretty much calculated and not much that enters in the finished product gets in by accident.
Unfortunatey though, I almost never use spellchecking software. Then I spot my errors afterward and edit them. Sometimes if I edit them fast enough, I won't even get that "edited" message below.
