Hey there,

I'm slim and back to the gym after a few months of pause.

I'm doing 4 muscle training a week (2xAB) and was wondering how long will it take to get the basic "body beach"?

Which means - being tuned, 6pack, muscles are noticable.

Thanks!

Looks like you're pretty leaned out already. I'd suggest a couple months of bulking up and then lean out to reveal that beach body. Everyone is different too. There's not a set amount of time that you'll achieve a or b. Everyone's body responds differently to caloric surpluses and deficits as well as workout protocol. Lastly, as much as it's not discussed - genes do play a factor. Circling back though - I'd say bulk up (eat more than your body needs), put on some weight, and then hit the gym hard and lean back out with the added muscle from your bulk.

Everyone is different. Your body looks good. Just depends on how much time you are willing to put into it.

Being out of the gym for the past couple of months can make starting again rough. Guess the bottom line is how bad do you want to have a beach body?

You'll definitely need to up your caloric intake if you are going to bulk up before spring. You burn a lot more calories working out with weights than doing cardio. Not that cardio isn't important.

Like I said before nice body man

Kinda depends on what your definition of a “beach body”. I’ve lived at the beach most of my life and can tell you that there are more than one type of beach body. First you have the jacked “bro body” like you see in the show jersey shore. Then you have a surfer body. I’ll tell you from personal experience that surfer bodies get way more attention from women if that’s what you’re looking for. There are exceptions to the rule of course but most surfers are relatively small and lean with well built shoulders and backs and tons of endurance. From paddling to duck diving to riding a wave you use every muscle in your body. I’m not experienced enough in the gym to guide you into building that kinda physique but I can tell you that your not far off.
