Hey, I got a question for those who have a FWB. Whether it be a friend from before, or someone that started up as a hookup, How long did you guys wait/how many meetups did you do before you decided to start going bare? How did you guys get to mutually agree to it?

I'm bare with my FWB as we're not seeing anyone else during covid. We've formed our own sex bubble.
But before we did both of us had an sti test and he's started Prep just to make sure we're both safe.
Took us about 6 months to get there though. Didn't rush anything.

After that it's down to trust.
Will either of you go off with someone else and play bare?
I would keep up a regular sti test if your just FWB and playing with others too.

Before I met my partner, I had been celibate for a year, with negative testing before that period. I just needed a spiritual break. Time to go inward, get physically and mentally healthy, and get my ass back into university.

So, I met a guy after that, things went swimmingly, and a year later we had a discussion on commitment. We then made a choice, based on trust, that we would forgo condoms.

At the end of the day, it is up to you. Yes, you can have a long chat with your bf/fwb/whatever, but do you trust them? And by that I mean you have to make a personal choice about your health, based on what you were told.

So, if you are unsure, if there is a hair of doubt that your fwb is playing elsewhere, then keep using condoms.

For me, it was a couple of months and I trusted that he wouldn't be bare with anyone else unless in a relationship.

I was on PrEP for a while, but it started affecting my liver (which is rare apparently) even though I never felt symptoms for that, I have since stopped for about 2 months now.

It depends on you guys. You have to have a conversation about, be honest and open. I would want STI tests and confirmation of other FWBs if there are any. I’m on prep and would highly resommend it. Trusting the other person is key though since HIV is not the only risk involved

At the end of the day, you should never put your health in someone else’s hands. Take the precautions you can and know the risks involved. Fucking raw is great but, if you’re gonna make yourself sick with the paranoia, then it’s not worth it no matter how good the fuck is. Get educated, get tested.

I like this. The buck stops with you and where your boundaries are.

Without sounding preachy about casual sex, various methods of harm prevention all have to be considered in what is right for you. If there are concessions, or things that might expand your boundaries, you only owe it to yourself to define those, and who falls into which part of the hierarchy.

All that to say, in answer the OP: every person is different, and every situation can be treated separately. :)

When I meet a guy, and, we get naked. He may swoon at the size of my dong and balls. If I then say, "sorry, I don't have a condom", they don't care and open their legs anyway. So, for me, it is the first date.
Forgot to mention this in my post ... No judgement towards you @HorseHung40's but there is very little risk to the top when fucking raw but a much larger risk to the bottom.

I only do bare and breed. I'm regularly tested and have been on prep everyday since it came out. But I'm not asking to be a role model, so use your own judgement.
