Good assumption. The contractor had to twist my arm to even install heat in Honolulu, for the 5 nights per year that it's needed. If it ever snowed 11" in Honolulu I would think it was the end of the world. It's very pretty looking out the window in NYC, but I have a sinus infection and I'm really grumpy today.

For those of you chiming in from UK and Madrid, etc., there was a major snowstorm in the NE US. Not sure if you're seeing it on your news or not.

(I assume it was Nude Yorker's NYC home and not the one in Honolulu that got the 11". LOL)

Yep, east coast US took a battering, according to the BBC.

Been snow in parts here, but only a quick dash, near East Midlands Airport.

Pic here, from the local Tesco's Cafe in Long Eaton

Just north of here in Mansfield, Nottingham, got a good does of it.

Think worst we have, is the Eurostar service going down the toilet big time, with services canned till tomorrow, and Eurostar borrowing trains from Southeastern Rail (The new Hitachi Javelin trains http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_395).... from Ebbsfleet, to London.

BBC News - Eurostar suspends services for third day

So I guess you're expecting snow in Dec. 2012?? LOL

I've only had a sinus infection once that I know of. Scared the hell out of me. I was having TERRIBLE night sweats and that's one of the signs of you know what. So ran to the Doc of course. Was relieved it was just a sinus infection and still neg. after all these years. Had no idea sinus infections caused night sweats. I'd wake up with the sheets drenched.

Anyway......Hope you feel better soon.

We now return to Blizzard of 2009 coverage.......

About 12" in NJ.
With wind drifts, certain spots were 3" while others were 2'.
Me - I hate the white shet. If I could afford to snowbird it (to anyplace warm) I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I don't like the cold.
I don't like snow.
When is the first day of spring again?
Ohhhh - pay me no nevermind. I'm just sore (and grumpy) from 5 hours of shoveling...

Nearly 20" where I'm at, actualy!

The weather got so bizare there was no public transportation today around here(bussesn or trains), and there was so much snow on the roads there were hardly any people driving (on what normally is a very busy road).

But it's fine, seeing I got to make a snowman today. heh. :biggrin1:
