Wow Alex! What a big wiener you have!I would say anything more than 15 mins would be trouble (30+ round trip) as I could see it being a deterrent to going.
There would have to be an offsetting factor to make it worthwhile, like some serious talent! 3-4 hotties in yoga pants will make me drive for miles and miles!
Actually I have a gym at home...if you want to call it that....powerrack ....plates....platform for Olympic lifts.....About five seconds away since it's in my basement.
If I want to train with a crew, it's 15 minutes away. I agree with what an above poster said. Having to go farther on a regular basis can be deterrent.
I know guys who travel 45-60 minutes so they can train in the right environment. I know a couple guys who used to drive 3 hours once a week to train squats with the right people. However, these guys wanted to be the best and eventually became world champions.
