How many miles do you drive for a great gym?

I would say anything more than 15 mins would be trouble (30+ round trip) as I could see it being a deterrent to going.

There would have to be an offsetting factor to make it worthwhile, like some serious talent! 3-4 hotties in yoga pants will make me drive for miles and miles!

Lol. The partial title on the front page left off the word “gym”. I thought it was going to be how far would you go for a great sex.

1 mile for gym.

Record is driving 95 miles to get laid. 95 miles back to go to work in the morning

My Y is about 30 minutes away from where I live which is why I usually go in after work. My Y is only 5 minutes away from my workplace. On my days off work, I rarely go in to workout. I make sure I get my 3 workouts per week after work for this reason. The thought of driving 1 hour round trip just to workout is very unappealing to me.

About five seconds away since it's in my basement. :)

If I want to train with a crew, it's 15 minutes away. I agree with what an above poster said. Having to go farther on a regular basis can be deterrent.

I know guys who travel 45-60 minutes so they can train in the right environment. I know a couple guys who used to drive 3 hours once a week to train squats with the right people. However, these guys wanted to be the best and eventually became world champions.

Actually I have a gym at home...if you want to call it that....powerrack ....plates....platform for Olympic lifts.....

Also go to an mma gym to fight....that 10 min away or so....

However nothing like the energy of a serious gym....I do go to a total meathead gym for strongman and Scottish games stuff....they have some powerliftes and an oly coach....

We train as a team there in Saturdays....and this may sound weak but...I find one ball to the wall intense workout a week is about all I can take.....the rest of the time it's about 80 percent....

Same with mma I try to go everyday...but I usually end up going 4 times a week....and about one 100 percent push it till ya puke is about all I can take
