I don't drink, smoke and have never used drugs. But I must admit, that I wanted to try drugs when I was younger/in high school. I'm sure it was around - even in the small country town I grew up in - but the very few friends who had drugs never offered. Now I'm in my 30's and I don't have the desire but I do sometimes feel I missed out somewhat by not experimenting, but I think it's the lack of socializing and making friends rather than the lack of drugs.

Anyway, my posts on LPSG are confusing enough when I'm sober! If I was drunk or high I'd be REALLY bizarre!

Never drank, never smoked and I don't even drink coffee. Craziest thing I consume is a diet coke every now and then.

But I'm also trying to get in shape so I watch what I eat as well.

im not gonna lie, this thread definitely made me feel a little better about myself! i was really starting to feel insecure about the issue, i've never wanted to but lately ive been feeling so alone because of it! i recently moved in with roommates/friends and we discussed about not having house parties, but then we've been having them the past 2 weekends. I'm not really comfortable with people getting completely smashed, so i just go home (to my mom's) to avoid it. I'd like to think it wouldn't be bad but after hearing the stories from my roommates, i would be extremely uncomfortable. It's just nice to know there are other people out there that dont drink or smoke! (not that there's anything wrong with it!)

I don't drink coffee either, I think it tastes AWFUL! Like alcoholic drinks, I'm willing to try every kind and blend but so far I haven't liked any of them. Plus I think some of the prices that places charge for it are way over the top.

I don't like the taste or smell of alcohol, I don't like what it can do to people (loss of control, loss of public decorum, etc.), and I don't like the fact that the alcoholism gene is very strong in my family (2 brothers, one uncle, multiple great-uncles, etc.).

I've had a sip of a mixed drink and about 1/16 of an inch of champagne in a shot glass. Yes, in my life. And I'm now 41.

People who need drink/drugs to have a good time, have a problem. So you should never feel insurcure that you dont feel the need to drink. If someones lives revolve around going out and getting smashed, then they usually be the ones who are alcholics, drug addicts, with serious drink/drug related illnesses before they are very old.

I ask this question because I really interested in it. I have never drank nor smoked before ever. It's more of a choice really, I don't have a problem with it but if given then option, I would prefer to avoid the scene all together. The bar/club scene that is, cause its likely that if you go to one, you'll probably find people doing both.

I know it might be unrealistic but I would really like to meet a guy that doesn't smoke or drink. I'm a college guy so that already rules out like 99% of them. It's not an end all if the guy does do either or both of them, it's just like icing on the cake if they don't. My friends tell me that I will probably never find a guy that doesn't enjoy drinking, I tell them, that hopefully one day my dream will come true haha. Anyways, I just had to know, is there a guy or even a girl, that is 21 or older and has never drank or smoked?

i can trigger the rush anytime thanks to my anxiety

A glass of wine here and there is not big deal, but I prefer to not drink at all.

Maybe once every few years I have never aquired a taste for alcohol and I absolutely abhore the way beer smells and the way people smell after they drink it. It's a very unattractive odor to me. The last time I had any alcohol was two valentines ago and it was a glass of outrageously expensive wine.
