depends on many things... stress, depression, being busy, not having temptation/contact with the opposite sex, not looking at porn, tiredness, etc. can all reduce your (or at least my) sex drive.
Also I find actual sex to be more satisfying than jerking off. This can affect how often I need to achieve orgasm in order to feel sated as well. Very good and highly varied sex is the most rewarding of all. However, this can go both ways. If I'm having a lot of good sex, I find I usually want to have more. Bad sex can make me lose my appetite for it, at least to an extent.
To feel truly satiated and happy and be free of the urges I normally feel to look for more sex or masturbate or whatever... in my experience... ideally I would have sex 1-4 times daily with at least 3 or more new partners per week. From experience this is what it takes for me to feel full, complete, unmitigated satisfaction.
If this quota is met for a week or longer then I think my level of satisfaction would be pretty consistent. On the other hand, if I couldn't have much sex for a long time... then the horniness builds and I could have sex 10 or 20 times in a day and still want more.
