Here in North Queensland in Australia I paid $1.62 per liter for regular unleaded.

I was reading Australian news a few weeks ago and I read "gas reaches $1.50 - causes outrage" as a headline. I thought to myself "what the fuck are the Aussies bitching about? $1.50 is a steal!" Then I remembered that you guys pay by the liter. That IS a bit much!

I paid $3.55 this morning. My car gets 35mpg, so I'm not hurting too bad.

Yes indeed

Actually - I thought you were going to come in and top trump me - but looking at today's UK prices I see your basic supermarket filling station will set you back the equivalent of about $8.04 per gallon.

So I'm paying the highest for pertrol of anyone on LPSG (so far). That actually genuinely annoys me.

Fucking stupid weak dollar - fucking stupid oil prices in fucking stupid weak dollar, fucking fucking fuckity wankpile fuck!

Anywhere from 3.75-3.90 in the Anchorage area. You would think it be a lot cheaper up here in Alaska. :irked: :grumble: :cussing:We even have a couple of refinery's. Of course we have worst politicians and I don't mean Stevens or Young, I actually think they have done a good job for Alaska. Hop's of my :soapbox: for now.

i over herd 2 women talking in the station the other day ,an one said that it is geting to the point where you cant hardly sell a pc, of ass because the gas is geting up in price and it is costing more to get to where the buyer is and also, expencive for the buyer to come to you, needless to say she had most all of us in there listing to what she was saying. lol

I paid $3.69 per gallon today for regular.
That's what I paid on Saturday, when I put $25 in my dad's 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. It's a boat with a V-8 engine and gets about 28 mpg highway. Unfortunately most of their driving is within our humble hamlet, bringing the mileage down to about 20 mpg. Grrr :12:

FWIW - Americans have known for decades that those in Europe and other parts of the world pay more for gas than we do. It's not our fault you insist upon selling it by the liter instead of the gallon like normal people.

$3.53 a gallon today. It's only gonna get worse, prices always go up for the summer driving season.

I don't buy petrol so I don't know how much it costs but I just looked it up some where and it said the average is £1.10 a Litre which is about a fiver for a gallon. I thin we were paying 4 dollars a gallon sometime in the middle of the last century LOL

I'm assuming that's an intentional funny from you - but I feel the need to point out to the mathematically or conceptually challenged that listing price by a different quantity does not effect the actual cost of the product.
