have been known to have complete control, most of the time
esp with x partner, oh my ha
usually let the ole gaurd down, when alone...suffer (a little) haha
but overall, suited my employment days

Conversely, do you find that you feel better about yourself (appearance, emotionally etc) when you receive attention from others and feel "wanted"...

I live in a city that is good vs evil. There are people that thrive on misery. So I built up a shell around myself. I come off as distant and people sometimes accuse me of being an elitist(they are being insecure) but there is no other option. I am a loving person and genuinely care about people. I have been burned by opportunists enough times because I let in the wrong people. I am very careful about who I socialize with and who I entertain with my time- this is very difficult for someone involved in New York nightlife where socializing and networking are needed. I dedicated my life to the idea of Tikkun Olam(the greater good) so being a good person with strong ethics is important to me but to invite someone in on a personal level is going to take a lot of trust

Outcast said it- the whole world loves it when you don't get down

As the title suggests, how much power do others have over your emotional state, and other parts of you such as your self-esteem, self-worth, etc?

Many people have the notion that you control your emotions, and happiness is a decision etc... but I rarely see this happening.

Do throw your coin in the bucket

EDIT: Conversely, do you find that you feel better about yourself (appearance, emotionally etc) when you receive attention from others and feel "wanted"...

Car sales man tactics do not work on me. I just get pissed off and lose interest in the item.

I use completely neutral body language. But you'll know if I'm pissed off though. >:p

emotional state is broken... Rarely am I in a good mood..
A real smile can be very rare from me.. The last time I can remember was about 1 year ago coming up in early July.

I think it's why I do not have any wrinkles on my face at all.
