My name was ranked in the 200-300s in the early part of the 20th century and is now ranked beyond 1000th.

Contrary to some people posting here, I am very happy that my name is rare. It's more special to have a relatively rare name than a popular name. So I'm not going to complain about the lack of popularity.

I have to say though, I wonder how accurate are the stats for people born outside U.S., especially people from a different culture and/or whose mother tongue is not English. I have met at least three persons having my name in my life, and I have a feeling that it isn't that rare where I live (it's certainly not one of the most popular, that's for sure, but I believe it would make the top 1000).
