How short should men's shorts be?

I’ve been trying to find shorter shorts but can’t! I’m only 5’6” so they’re always so long! #someonehelp

Have you tried looking for active wear?
I bought a pair of the following ones when I wanted to get some really short shorts:

In my opinion, they only look girly when worn like this, it's only the female features of the wearer and maybe certain cuts that can make them look girly. If you stick to squarer cuts instead of high-cut legs then it'll look different.
