So I’m fairly new to lifting/working out with just about 2 years under my belt. I’ve made some decent progress so far (20 lbs gained) but I def want to get bigger. I want to find a gym bud or mentor/coach that will let me know when I’m doing good and call me out when I’m being lazy. I used to be in a competitive training environment and respond well to direction and criticism. Have tried trainers at my gym but they don’t push me enough. Any ideas guys? And if you have any other questions hit me up with those.

Congrats on those gains 20 lbs in 2 years is pretty good!

I tend to work out at the same time so I see the same people. We kinda motivate each other. I pushed harder trying to keep up with them and they pushed to be as big as me and lift heavier.

I also get mentorship from this older guy and his wife who own a supplement shop. He's an old school bodybuilder. We talk about bodybuilding events, he gives me tons of really good advice on lifting, getting bigger, preventing injuries, and the best brands of supplements. He trained one of my coworkers and she got really good results from him.

I think if your goal is to get huge, find a huge guy / girl and talk to him or her.
