:unitedstates: Saw a news (NBC?) clip a few weeks ago showing pipes sticking in the ground outside that the reports said "you know what those are for" and then showed the latrine, like 3 or 4 toilets (well, holes) with walls just tall enough so you could put your elbows on top of them if you were sitting in the middle. How (or where!) on earth do guys release their sexual pressure on tour over there? It's not like you can step behind a tree or something or you might get shot. We've all seen the recent contractor stories. I was mostly concerned about the troops. Everything, including showers, is regulation makeshift but from your first response it sounds like everybody knows everybody else does it. Still, I can't imagine even finding the time to JO. Guess I'd have to shoot it on the ground next to where I am sleeping unless I don't mind getting caught using those communal toilets.

No, most of us have hard buildings (at least what I have seen) and everyone I know has a partition of wall lockers seperating our rooms in half because we have roomates. I personally JO whenever my roomate goes to chow or the gym or to the shower or whenever he goes out of the room long enough for me to do the deed. You gotta be quick and crafty sometimes cuz ya never know if your RM forgot something lol. Its great when they go on R&R cuz you have 3 weeks to yourself. Sometimes you do it in the shower (why we wear shower shoes LOL) and even in the shitter stall. Yeah, we all know we do it, even the females do it. We are not supposed to even have sex out here according to the UCMJ so ya gotta know everyones doin it.

When I was in Balad there were communal showers with curtains. The latrines had private dividers. As far as jerkin off, it became a daily ritual just like taking a shower and brushing my teeth. Woke up, went to the showers, bathed, rubbed one out, dried off and brushed my teeth. Then went about my day.

Ok well I just saw this thread and had to comment. First off a little background.
I was with 3rd battalion 7th marines(3/7) Lima company. I served two tours in Iraq both in the same city or Ar Ramadi Iraq. One of the largest cities in the whole damn country. We used an old police station for our base the first tour. Second tour it was an old hotel. I was an 0331, infantry machine gunner for those who don't know, and was foot mobile my first tour and was in vehicles my second tour.

Now as far as jerking off was concerned lol. Its called a "whack shack" Since we all had to sleep about 6 to a room in the old iraqi buildings(basically 12X12 feet with six guys and all their gear) We had bunk beds. Well if you were on top rack you hung your pancho liner form the cieling to cover up your space, and if you was on bottom rack you tucked it under the thin matress of the person above you. Private and comfortable. Trust me though everyone knew when the other person was doing it, for one the rack would shake and number two we would have competitions on who could finish first lol. Hell we kept count on how many times each person jerked it. I came in dead last with 97 times over nine months lol. The winner had around 340 or something like that.

As far as getting laid, well you had to be a POG (personel other than grunt) or in the army to be on a COED post. Us grunts just had hands and a bottle of lube, although when i spent a week in camp Ramadi there was a cute little E-3 in the Navy i hooked up with, but that story isnt for here lol.

It seems that, if guys are in one room and there are contests to see who comes first; the next step would be a buddy helping his buddy out by offering his hand to jack him. Certainly a hot fantasy but in AccuracyByVolume's case that would involve guys climbing up into other guy's bunks and in under their "whack shacks," when there are other guys in bunks not under their panchos who can see. I would think that would be asking for a discharge. Now, in the "not shy in a shower" scenario, watching another jacking and jacking yourself could lead to a helping hand but you'd still have to keep a close eye on the door.
