How important is it that I include a picture? I'm worried of someone I know (this is not a huge community) recognizing my body.

you need a pic. take one of yourself against a neutral background. unless you have very unique tattoos nobody is going to look that closely to be able to identify you. so what if they do identify you though. anyone that figured it out would keep it to themselves or risk being asked how they were looking so closely at an ad like yours that they were able to figure out that it was you.

I worked Craigslist and over the course of a week or two, I did get several responses that seemed to be genuine.
One of them was a couple who was visiting my town. We emailed back and forth late at night. He told me where they wanted to meet up (at a friends office building; bring blankets and condoms).
