in threads with a lot of updates posted, is there a way to see the most recent post up on top ? rather than always have to scroll way down to the bottom ?

i looked at all the buttons but don't think i see that one

(basically to reverse the order of the posts , from first-to-last, into last-to-first)

great site, i should spend more timehere, i got a ton of questions to ask

Click on CP near top left of page, From Settings and Options click "Edit Options", from Thread Display Options you can change the thread display mode to display posts oldest to newest (chronological) or newest to oldest (reverse chronological (and more confusing)...

But before you try that there's a simpler option. When clicking on thread you've read previously because you notice there have been newer posts added, if you're taken to the top of the first page look for a line just above the OP that says "View First Unread". If you have cookies enabled the site will remember what you read last and will take you to the first new post after that when you click "first unread".

hey man thanks verymuch. i did what you suggested, went to the CP menu and found options, and switched it around so that the NEW posts are always ontop.

i will like that a lot better, i wonder why its not the default ?

thanks again

Woman, thanks.

It's not the default because precious few conversations make sense in reverse and anyone reading a new thread of any length would be thoroughly confused and frustrated by it.

dear Gillette, thanks for the advice and my apologies for confusing your name.

I guess that since i probably shave with Gillette razors plus this is a website devoted to peen, i guess i just made the association. Erroneously.

see ya later,

aloha abu

I don't think that Gillette's name should have caused you any confusion, abu. Instead it should have been obvious that she wasn't a man by the Gender: Female line in her profile block.

Before you give up totally on viewing these threads in forward chronological order consider this. In addition to Gillette's valid advice about the potential confusion, by setting up the CP so that you're viewing last message first you also have no idea how old or fresh the original post is, which can make quite a difference in the confusion factor. On a post with many replies I rather like viewing the original post to review the OP's point of view and to see how long ago the thread was started. Then I'll typically go to the last page and see what the current responses are or use the "View First Unread" option.

dear SilverTip,

thanks for your suggestion its a good one, and i also have to confess to being a total fvcking idiot sometimes when it comes to the obvious. As i like to say, Obvious and Oblivious are only two letters apart...........

this is a great site. i discovered it a few years ago but then totally forgot about it.

appreciate your feedback, thanks abu
