I tried a c pap for 6 months without fail. Not one night off. Just could not make it work. Then tried a double retainer. Very effective.

Hi, thanks for your input. I wanted to go the retainer route (or even to have my tonsils removed), but my doctor said he didn't think either would work for me. You're lucky!

I have heard about guys getting tonsils out with no change to snoring. I got the appliance approved from the sleep apnea doc. At least on my insurance, it was something you get in a dental office, though it was billed through my medical. I had to get it all approved beforehand and it took some phone calls. I guess if one can afford it, one can buy it outright. Most of the time it is called a bite guard even though used for snoring.
