I very much like this. I'm not under the delusion that this, or any administration, is going to be purely transparent. But it is a nice to have a place where the President is "on the record" on hot-button issues. Also, after the prior administration, even the perception of non-hostility toward transparency is welcome.

What do I "seriously" believe, that he'll keep his campaign promises (hah no, didn't say that) or that this is "on the record"?

Currently, the only way of getting a President "on the record" is through press meetings. This doesn't add much to the positions expressed in press meetings, I concede. But it is better than Gibbs transcripts -- more centralized, more open, etc.

It's a baby step but, dude whatever, all I said was that it is at least somewhat superior to the status-quo. And your disagreement with me is?
