I gotta add Finland to my global itinerary
Regarding Katrina Kulmuni:
I'm all in favor of women in positions of political leadership -- the COVID crisis is just the latest example of how much saner they seem to be than male leaders. I mean, Boris Johnson, Donald Trump vs. Angela Merkel, Jacinda Ardern (New Zealand, where 14 new infections counts as a major national outbreak). How could you go with the guys, given the body counts?
And the PM of a country (Finland or New Zealand) should be free to nurse her baby wherever she needs to, since she's got a country to run.
And my votes would be based on policies and track record etc. if we had a serious woman candidate at the top of the ticket. (It was in 2016.)
A little googling reveals that Katri Kulmuni recently resigned as finance minister because of backlash from high fees paid to an agency to help her work on public speaking. Seems like she kinda got railroaded and fell on her sword to stop the controversy. She'll still have a solid career, I think.
Completely unrelated to that:
She's HEALTHY. Hard to not notice.
