    Human "bed-warmers" at Holiday Inn

Eeeww! That just sounds nasty to me. I want clean sheets not something pre-slept in. Why haven't the Brit's mastered the whole central heating and furnace thing yet? It's been over 100 years that people have been complaining about cold hotel rooms over there. :irked:

Why not just, use electric blankets? Have some sort of chip in them so you can use your cell phone to turn it on while you're at dinner or the theater or whatever. That way the entire bed is toasty when you get there. Not just the part upon which some schlub laid.

I saw a report about that the other week. The bed warmers wear bunny suits, so they don't actually come into contact with the sheets, but still... If it was going to be that cold, I'd rather have a hot-water bottle or someone to snuggle up to. I'm usually too warm in hotel rooms anyway, but then I've got good circulation and they tend to cater more to people who feel the cold.

I suppose it may be a turn-on for some, but I'd give it a miss.

If we could select who did it and how long they could stay...

I would do it if vince was the bed-warmer, otherwise I'm taking a pass on this too.

Firstly if im paying for a hotel i want fresh, clean sheets. Not ones that some big, hairy, sweaty, smelly guy has farted on. And secondly, i like cold starchy sheets.

I H8 starched sheets. If I wanted to hear the bedding crinkle I'd wrap my pillow in a plastic bag.

What happens if the bed warmer gets too warm and falls asleep in your bed before you get in the room?

Also, how long do they have to be in the bed before it gets warm? What are they doing for this time? (How many LPSG "Most daring place you masturbated" stories will come of this?)

Won't the bed cool down during the time I am getting ready in my room?

How pathetic! "The bed's cold, the bed's cold" like your bodyheat won't warm it up in a few minutes.

It may be a little uncomfortable initially but so what. It is pathetic that once again a service is being provided which treats staff like robots just so those with a hoyty attitude can be happy. Get a life or a water bottle but for god sake stop being a baby!

She's a beauty... Rufie would be all tongue tied.

Giselle is more of a foot warmer I'd say.

Wonder if you can request the gender of the bed warmer and if they stay or leave.

What ever happened to electric blankets.

This definitely falls in the "What were they thinking?" category.

The yuck factor is incredibly high. And I'd imagine even without the yuck factor, there can't really be a huge market for pre-warmed beds, can there? I actually find getting into a cold bed and warming it up with one's own body heat (perhaps along with a companion) to be one of life's little thrills.

No it can't be. I already have a job. And besides, i love my own bed too much to want to warm anyone elses's.

Then again, i'm not opposed to offers...
