Having put myself in a position recently to notice a difference between living with a man (and offspring) and without said man I can't say I've noticed a drop in the time I spend on housework. I have noticed I seem to take the same amount of time to do a better job though - but that wouldn't account for a 7 hour difference.

I have many:
Some men are more trouble than they are worth.
Being single isn't so bad.
Men are like children, only bigger and more destructive.

I guess that is why you really don't need one. If you think that they are like children and want to treat them that way, adopt a kid instead.

Here is a thought start being more fun in the bedroom and maybe they will be more willing to help with the house work. Oh and don't bitch about how they do the house work would help too.

I work 12hr days alternating 3 to 4 days a week, and bust my ass too keep my job. Then I spend my days off fixing the house, yard, carting the kids around, things my wife thinks she should not have to do, (including taking care of the cars). And yet get bithced at because im not helping her keep the place clean, it cuts into her sitting on her ass time watching TV. Personally I think men are cleaner and more organized, women, especially like my wife, are just self absorbed...

NJQT isn't married and lives with her parents?

Well, information is also subject to the facts allowed to fill the spaces, and the intent of the authors posting it for an intended audience. My view. It frequently is correct.

I never cared for Quentin Crisp's housekeeping ideas... He never picked up, and friends visited just to see if it could get any worse.

I hear some women actually have jobs now? Marvellous times we live in.

A few of them have partners who actually make an effort around the house.

Yes. They give blow. jobs. I've heard these are, indeed, marvelous.

That's what i'm told. :biggrin1:

Since my partner is temporarily away, I haven't noticed a change in the amount of housework. The grocery bill has dropped though that's to be expected.

7 hours?
I think it depends on the man. I prefer those who split cooking and clean up after themselves because I do not do it for them. Just never had the example growing up.

Mom, Aunts, Grandmothers all worked while raising kids, cooking, and cleaning the house - my Dad, Uncles, and Grandfathers all did their own laundry, pitched in with cooking, and kept their man rooms (generally the den w/ a huge TV, guns, Audie Murphy films, and memorabilia) clean. Call us bitches or whatever, but with both partners working full there has to be equal sharing of HH duties.

Housekeeping has never been one of my strong skills.

Fortunately for me, each of my ex-husbands had higher standards (and needs) for cleaning and socializing (home should at least be presentable for them, but I was a recluse and didn't usually like visitors) so they ended up doing most of the cleaning. They knew that if they didn't do it and expected me to do it, they would be living in a garbage dump before long. I would help out about once or twice a month (sometimes weekly), but regular daily and weekly cleaning was up to them.

One big factor was that I worked two jobs with each husband, so having both the higher income and less real time at home were motivators for them to clean up themselves.
I think there's a difference between spotless and basic cleanliness. I would never share a home with someone who could not maintain a basically hygienic household - not saying they have to be like me and clean the shower/tub after every use, or wipe the sink after using it (can you tell I am from a military family ). But making the bed daily, taking out the trash daily, not allowing dishes to sit around, and cleaning as you go is a sign of respect for your partner.

I agree, my husband is a much cleaner, more organized person than me. I truthfully am a slob. He actually has relaxed his totally clean organized lifestyle because of me. I do believe I create more messes than he does so I should be the one to clean them up.

If you have been on the board long you would know that the only reason she is with her parents is because her dad is seriously ill. And she is helping take care of him.

If you think the info is correct your are a complete moron. These subjects are clearly here to get a rise out of people. She loves to see the choas.

don't have a clue who this person is and don't give a care. But some time men get back it a very quite way when their spouse/girlfriend seems to think it is okay to nag about everything and be frigid in the bedroom.

No, I didn't know she was living with her parents because her father was ill. I have been on the boards a bit, but I do not read everything.

And yes, I know she often posts things to get a rise. But linking things together made the end result seem improbable. An un married women posting an article that husbands create seven hours additional work. I live in a household where things need to be done daily, and I don't work seven hours straight to clear it up. So I had to comment in a gentle way about it. Folks in my household deal with dogs and barnyard animals and sawing wood and anything else that entails keeping up with a the resulting clutter.

"your a complete moron". See end tag of my signature.

Not knowing Quentin Crisp? Shame, you are isolated.

Perhaps you ought to get one yourself. You ought to read what the posters are saying and what understand what they are thinking before you become so dismissive of what you encounter here.

i have read the posts. i have also read many of her other pointless, retarded posts, posted for no other reason than to create controversy. there's just something a little off about a woman who religiously posts on a large penis website but seems to have a hatred/grudge towards all men.

you do realize that this is a site for men? get a life. seriously.

This is not a site for men - I refer you to this thread, not only my OP but all the responses in agreement.

I don't know anyone who fits that description... certainly not the OP.

nj obviously has some kind of grudge towards men. i'm not saying shes sexest, but a large number of her posts have given off an "i am angry at the male species" tone. i am not the only person to have noticed this. i like the fact that women post here. i just don't understand why someone with such a grudge towards just about every man desires to keep posting on this forum. being that women do NOT have large penises, and the vast majority of women who post here do not post here for the sake of gathering needed information about large penises, it is safe for me to say that this site was probably started for MEN who are having problems with their penis. im not complaining about women posting here, just letting you all in on the fact that you don't have penises, and however much you would love to think this site was created for you, in actuality, it was created for men like me. it's simple, if you don't like men, don't have a boyfriend/husband with a large one, or don't have a large penis yourself, then why are you here? there are thousands of other sites to go to to bash men. find them. i am still yet to see a man make an entire thread about how much he hates women, yet many of you women still seem to find something to complain about because you're bored. women aren't perfect either...not even close.
