I’ve got BiGG Balls

Oh yeah, those too but I meant Popcorn Balls this time.

Just made a batch and yum! Anybody else think these are a food of the gods if there ever was one?

Old Fashion Popcorn Balls

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 cups white sugar
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 cup water
• salt to taste
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 5 quarts popped popcorn

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, corn syrup, butter and water. Stir and heat to hard-crack stage or 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Remove from heat, add vanilla or vinegar; mix well.
2. Pour slowly over popped popcorn while stirring. Shape into 3 inch round balls.

I've been thinking about popcorn balls for weeks...I just finished making them, Thank you!

You can make popcorn ball sculptures by sticking them together with little pretzel sticks. My kids used to get a kick out of tearing into popcorn ball centerpieces at holiday parties.
