You know, of the 4 presidents before Obama, Bill Clinton (liberal Dem) was the only one to control the increase in government spending. Reagan more than doubled the national debt, Bush 1 would have done the same if he had time. And Bush 2...well let's not go there.
and it was "small government", deregulating the financial industry, that created the conditions for it.Selling 'small ' government is the easy part. Implementing 'small' government escapes them. You won't get votes actually implementing small government. The fascinating thing is it was 'big' government that saved capitalism from another Great Depression.
Let every man fend for himself.
Yet another troll with no pics and an incomplete profile. This is getting old.
It's pathetic when people let their sexual orientation control their life and
everything they believe in. Truly sad that people feel they have to be a
liberal just because EVERY conservative doesn't support gay marriage.
Just for your information, not every Democrat supports gay marriage either.

Oh, by the way: you know the Westboro Baptist Church? The ones who
protest soldiers' funerals and scream "God hates fags"? Well, guess what?
Their leader, Fred Phelps, is a DEMOCRAT.
Removed his pics too. Probly hoping nobody remembers his disatrous debut. The OP has also changed his name, for whatever reason....
Axxman, nope Maxann, umm MaryAnn? Here are the definitions of words you like to use but don't seem to understand.I'd disagree with you on both of those counts. Just because the word
"liberal" is close to the word "liberty" does not mean that there is any
connection whatsoever. Far from it. I actually see liberalism as an
anti-freedom movement. Liberals favor bloated government bureaucracies
taking care of them, which means less freedom and more government control.
Also, no ONE person decides what is "conservative thinking", and neither does
the majority of self-proclaimed conservatives. I think that the only guide for
who is a conservative or not is how much government influencing their life. As for
me, I want little.
Invisibleman you and I must be twins. I'm also a gay black man who hates watermelon and grape soda. Not a fan of Lady GaGa but adore Dolly and the Dixie Chicks. Never had or will use drugs and also like hot white guys. You, me, and Vinyl must be aberrations because MaryAnn tells us that we must act a certain way.I can understand that. You don't fit the stereotypes of the group you are a part of. That is nice to know.
I am a black gay man. I can't stand watermelon or grape soda. I don't really understand Lady Gaga. I like country music. Especially, Dolly Parton's and The Dixie Chicks' music.
But because I am black and gay doesn't mean that I act a fool...it doesn't mean that I do street drugs...it doesn't mean that I hate white gay men...and definately doesn't mean that I am a fan of Beyonce either.
I think that discussion and debating politics are different modes though. Discussion seems more positive. Sharing sides and truths of a political issue. And the discussion ends neutral for the audience to come away with knowledge and understanding. Whereas, debating seems negative...where one is proving that they are right on a certain political issue and they support their skews with evidence and sources. But it becomes like a competition of who has the right skew to believe in and who is right. And it gets relentless.

I can (and do) take care of myself quite well, thank you. The only "government handouts" i've ever excepted were a road to drive on, lines to pipe the electricity to my home, and pipes to ship water to/from my abode.
