I am surprised to find so many movies I have that are still not on DVD...

I look at all my old movies some old and others from the 70s-80s that are still not released on DVD. Does this surprise you still? It certainly does for me.

Same here, it's weird to me, how they'll release just about anything on DVD and certain (better) movies they won't. I'm sure there's distribution rights, etc to consider, but there's a couple out there that have yet to see the light of day. Even Grease didn't get released until 2002, which blows me away!

You are talking about mainstream movies right?

Yeah, this is a huge issue that I have. I almost a thousand movies and when I started switching over to DVD I found that even today I still have at least seventy or more VHS.

Just because they haven't been released on DVD yet.

They'll print any Jonas brother piece of crap onto millions of DVDs but god forbid they convert something with artist direction and panache.

That's probably why these younger generations like such shitty movies, they don't have proper access to ALL of the good stuff. And I know people who refuse to watch films simple because they're Black and White; that's a horrible basis to miss something wonderful for.

I have a lot of music VHS (concerts, TV shows and general video-clips) that I would LOVE to see reissued on DVD. I try to convert them but some of them I just played so much that they are in very shoddy condition. It would be nice to see them remastered, expanded and reissued.

I can't believe someone thought THIS was worthy of reissue.....

Not just a reissue but a 2 disk special edition! Boggles the mind.

You beat me to it, Monel. I was gonna say the same exact thing!

Been waiting years for Scenes From the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills, but don't know if it'll ever be released in the US. :-(

This is from another thread but this is what I'm still waiting for....

I actually have a couple of these that were converted from VHS to DVD but would rather have them in DVD format. A couple of the listed titles are truly horrible movies but I want them for personal reasons...
